Regulations for the sale of e-books
- Definitions
- “ebook”: a digital electronic book that is sold as an electronic file.
- “customer”: a natural or legal person who purchases an e-book through an online sales platform.
- “seller”: a natural or legal person who offers an e-book for sale.
- “online sales platform”: a website or mobile application enabling the sale of e-books.
2. Conditions of Sale
- The Seller undertakes to deliver the e-book to the customer in electronic form within 24 hours of receiving the payment.
- The customer undertakes to pay the agreed price for the e-book and to use it only for personal purposes. Distributing, copying or making the e-book available to third parties is prohibited.
- The ebook is protected by copyright and may only be used following copyright law.
3. Payments
- The price of the e-book is set by the seller and displayed on the online sales platform.
- The customer can pay for the e-book using various payment methods available on the online sales platform.
4. Returns and complaints
- Due to the digital nature of the e-book, returns are not allowed after the transaction has been completed, unless there is a legal provision imposing a different obligation.
- If there are problems with access to the purchased e-book, the customer may submit a complaint electronically to the e-mail address provided by the seller.
5. Responsibility
- The seller is not liable for any damage resulting from the customer’s improper use of the e-book.
- The seller is also not responsible for any technical problems related to access to the e-book caused by the action or omission of the customer or third parties.
6. Final Provisions
- These regulations constitute an integral part of the e-book sales contract between the customer and the seller.
- The Seller reserves the right to change the regulations. The changes come into force when they are published on the online sales platform.
An e-book order signed electronically by the customer constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions set out in these regulations.
